Happy Friday, reader friends! It’s time again to peek at a first line and chat books in the comments! I enjoy hearing from y’all on any post but Fridays are extra fun!

As always, you can find my blogger buddies at the bottom of the post and I encourage you to go check out their featured books once you’ve said hi and dropped off your first line here!

Today’s featured first line comes from a brand-spanking-new prequel novella!

Then Came You by Becky Wade

Garner’s Journal Entry

Sylvie left me today.

Okay, so the first line is a bit of a downer but I’m just going to say, “hello, handsome” to that cover! Some of you may be wondering why I’m super excited about this series… first of all, it’s written by BECKY WADE!!!

Now, normally I would just leave it at that and maybe give y’all the “DUH” look through the computer screen BUT there happens to be a cherry-on-top SECOND reason that I am super excited about this series… it is set in the land of my heart, the majestic Pacific northwest!!! And since I don’t live there (yet), I try to visit as often as possible in person but frequently in books!

I hope someone is excited with me and make sure you are sitting down because you can pick up a Kindle copy of this novella by BECKY WADE set in the PNW for FREE!!! #DealAlert, my friends! PLUS book 1 of the series, True to You is now available for preorder!

I just picked this book up yesterday…well, I downloaded it to my Kindle. 🙂 So, is this book the prequel to True to You?

I’m excited for Becky Wade’s new series, too – love a PNW setting, especially Washington state!

To continue the Mary Weber first lines started by CarylKane, mine is from Siren Song, book 3 of the Storm Siren trilogy:

My first line is from Karen Sargent’s upcoming release, Waiting For Butterflies:

He is handsome that’s for sure, but I must be a honest, his pose is a little awkward-looking to me. I am not sure why! But I am happy for you that are excited to read the book by an author you clearly enjoy. Happy Reading!
